A New Product Install for Growing Revolution in the Mitie Head Office.
We love it when new products start their journey. From concept, to delivering a first prototype, it's always fascinating how a first version can come to life!
Last week the studio had the opportunity to assist in the first installation of a new prototype product for our client Growing Revolution. The product, labelled Planted Office, has found its permanent home within the centre of Mitie's head office within The Shard, London.
The new Growing Revolution Planted Office living wall was installed by Biotecture in the Shard for Mitie.
No structural fixings, no plumbing, and no drainage, all installed in under two hours, it just needs watering with a watering can once every four weeks.
Growing Revolution provide a plant box which stacks on top of one another, allowing for modular, connected innovative watering system-based planters.
We were contacted to help bring their planters into the workplace by providing an office-friendly solution for housing their product.
This is the first prototype in a range of products for Growing Revolution. It has received great feedback already.
Expect lots of exciting things to come in the biosphere of the office.
