ThinkingWorks tasked Jones & Partners to develop a desk that would allow an office to adapt their meeting space as needed. Focused has been clinically designed with multi-functionality in mind. We wanted to ensure that the desk would allow the user to facilitate all desired activities.
With the variety of projects and work being carried out in a single office it is crucial for office furniture to adapt. Focused allows multi-disciplinary teams a base to communicate and collaborate with flexibility at the centre.
The flexibility is most apparent in the tray design. The PET moulded trays have been designed with purpose and practicality to ensure they are as beneficial to the user as possible. The trays can be easily interchanged and reconfigured.
As shown the trays are modular in design, the user can choose the most appropriate insert. Whether that is power integration, stationary storage, or somewhere to keep equipment while working.
Our team designed the desk to have a modern and refined aesthetic whilst integrating intelligent cable management solutions. The cables are concealed within the legs and the PET undercarriage. It was essential to ensure that the integrated power didn't impact the design language. Whilst mirroring the precise design details that can be found in the tabletop trays.
